The well-known French chef Alain Ducasse will direct all the restaurants of the Eiffel Tower in Paris from January 1, 2007.

With the Ducasse group running the two restaurants, the Jules Verne (one Michelin star) and the brasserie Altitude 95 and the three fast food outlets, the tower's owners expect the number of visitors to grow to over 6 million, which is approximately received during the year 2005.

Ducasse is the chef with the most Michelin stars and his most emblematic restaurant is Le Plaza, located in the Plaza Athenée hotel in Paris.

In November of this year Alain Ducasse, in association with a subsidiary of the Sodexho group, obtained the concession for a period of nine years for all the restoration points of the Eiffel Tower.

The chef plans to reform the restaurants that have not been renovated in the last 25 years and change the menus.
