Scottish gastronomy year
If this year, we have the opportunity to make a getaway, even if it is flying in one of those low cost airlines and, in addition to seeing wonders of the landscape, we want to take advantage of the trip to enjoy the best gastronomy, we cannot leave aside the option from Scotland as this year celebrates the year of Scottish gastronomy.
Until the month of May, thanks to the initiative of the year of gastronomy, events have been programmed throughout the country, such as the Foodies at the Festival, during these days the protagonists are seasonal products and where they are already enjoying the preparations of some of the 15 Michelin stars that the region enjoys.
Also planned are the Arbroath Sea Festival, with fresh fish markets, tours, exhibitions and culinary displays, the Orkney Wine Festival, the Shetland Festival in October, and the Scottish Food Fortnight which is held in October. will be held throughout the country during the month of September.
This initiative is intended to continue promoting Scotland as a world-class gastronomic destination. Perhaps it is the moment that we know about Scotland something more than whiskey.
