Onion rings stuffed with cheeseburger: recipe to succeed

My thing with this recipe was love at first sight. I saw it in one of the many videos that circulate on social networks and knew, instantly, that I had to prepare it at home. During the preparation I anticipated the fury that these cheeseburger-filled onion rings were going to cause and I was not mistaken.

  • Egg 4
  • Ketchup 5 g
  • Dijon mustard 5 g

We start by preparing the meat mixture for the filling and, for this, we beat one of the eggs along with the ketchup, the mustard, the garlic salt and the oregano. Add the slice of bread and mash with a fork until you get a puree, season and add the minced meat. We mix well.

Peel the onions and remove the ends. We make two cross sections so that we obtain three parts from each of them and separate them into rings. Fill half of each ring with the minced meat mixture and, in the center, place a cheddar cheese taco. We cover with more minced meat making sure to fill each onion ring well.

We pass the rings filled with flour, removing the excess, beaten egg and breadcrumbs. We repeat the egg and breadcrumb bath a second time to obtain a thicker breading and that they do not disassemble. Fry in abundant oil, over medium-high heat, for about three minutes on each side. We serve immediately.
