Recipe for banana cake and chocolate cream to make in a casserole

One of the clear signs that the heat has arrived is that the usual bananas that we always have at home ripen much sooner, becoming overdone if we neglect them. The good thing is that they can be used as a pastry, as is the case with this recipe for banana cake and chocolate cream in casserole.

Some time ago I saw a recipe that combined the banana with this delicious chocolate cream so I took advantage of the fact that I had to give out some copies that were already too soft to spend at the same time a jar of chocolate cream that we had open. The result is a fantastic sponge cake that will delight those with a sweet tooth.

Ingredients

For 10 people
  • Soft and peeled banana 250 g
  • Pastry flour 350 g
  • Chemical yeast (2 teaspoons) 8 g
  • Baking soda (1 and 1/2 teaspoons) 6 g
  • Salt 2 g
  • Brown sugar 150 g
  • Vanilla essence 5 ml
  • Butter without melted salt 100 g
  • Egg L 2
  • Milk 125 ml
  • Cocoa and hazelnut cream (approximately) 120 ml

How to make banana cake and chocolate cream in casserole

Preheat the oven to 180º C and grease or cover with sulfurized paper a good round casserole suitable for the oven. Peel the bananas and mash them with a fork until they form a paste. Mix the flour with the chemical yeast, the baking soda and the salt in a bowl.

Arrange the eggs with brown sugar, vanilla sugar, melted butter and milk in a large bowl. Beat lightly until everything is integrated. Add the flour preparation and mix with a spatula.

Add the bananas and mix well until there is a homogeneous mass. Fill the saucepan and spread the chocolate cream over it - heat it slightly in the microwave if it is too hard. Draw a marble with a pointed knife and bake for about 45 minutes. Wait a little outside the oven before unmolding and let cool completely on a wire rack.

What to accompany the banana cake

This banana and chocolate cream cake in a casserole is so good that it can be enjoyed both at breakfast or snack and after meals. To make it a luxury dessert it can be served with a scoop of ice cream or with melted chocolate on top, but with a simple glass of milk, coffee or vegetable drink it is already a delight.
