Tandoori shrimp and salmon skewers. Recipe

To accompany yesterday's zucchini fritters, I prepared some tandoori salmon and shrimp skewers.

It goes without saying that I love spicy food and in this case Indian recipes are ideal to satisfy these tastes. Although you have to be well stocked in the cupboard with all the spices, so take note of what we need.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 200 g of clean salmon fillet, 16 prawns, 1/2 lemon and a pinch of salt.
  • For the tandoori marinade, 200 g of plain yogurt, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, 1 teaspoon of ajwain seeds and salt.

How to make tandoori shrimp and salmon skewers

We will start by cutting the salmon into cubes, in turn we peel the prawns. In a bowl we marinate the salmon and prawns with a little salt and the juice of half a lemon. We will keep it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

Besides, we prepare the marinade. We mix all the ingredients and add the salmon and prawns. Let it pair cold for about two hours.

We preheat the oven to maximum temperature (including the grill) and bake for about 10 minutes, turning the skewers after 5 minutes. We serve hot.

To serve the salmon and tandoori shrimp skewers we will put some lemon wedges. We can make tandoori more or less spicy, you just have to change the dose of chili powder, but be careful because it is much spicier than the hot paprika that we know more about.
