C´UP, surprise with these designer mugs on Valentine's Day
At Directo al Paladar we like gastronomy, but also design, and proof of this is the amount of small works of art related to food or cooking that we show you every week.
The truth is that these objects almost always come from foreign designers, so today I am happy to show you a design object, but at the same time very versatile, totally "Made in Spain". It is about C'UP, glass art in the form of cups, glasses or glasses very original for its ability in the same object to cover two different needs, so you will understand that as soon as I have seen them I could not help myself to fall in love with their clean and simple design.
Created by the Spanish sculptor Ana Hernando, these design pieces allow you to drink coffee alone or with milk simply by turning the cup, as they are made up of two containers on each side with different volume capacities.
These mugs have been recognized with the Delta selection, one of the best designs of 2012, and have participated in various international fairs and exhibitions, including TAPAS Spanish Design for food in Tokyo.
Three different people work by hand on each piece of soda-lime glass of the highest quality, after polishing and manual marking, which makes each one of them unique. So I think that these original mugs can become a very special object to give on Valentine's Day if you still don't know what to treat your lovers with.
