This amazing Nutella oven-free cheesecake is a recipe from Nigella Lawson, the popular British media cook.

I have several Nigella Lawson books, but this amazing recipe doesn't appear in any of them. I discovered it on an American website and it was love at first sight. When I read that it does not need an oven and saw the few ingredients that it carries, I knew that it would not take long to make it. The name of the recipe promised, Nutella cheesecake without oven, but it wasn't until I tried it that I fell into their nets.

  • Butter 35 g
  • Cocoa and hazelnut cream Nutella type 300 g
  • Cream cheese 350 g
  • Icing sugar 30 g
  • Hazelnuts shelled weight 50 g

How to make Nutella cheesecake without oven

The base of the cake is made with 50 g of Nutella, so the first thing we must do is separate this amount from the total 300 g of Nutella. The rest we reserve for the cream. In a food processor we crush the digestive biscuits, butter and 50 g of Nutella. We will obtain a homogeneous mass with which to cover the base of a mold of 18 cm in diameter (better removable).

Then, in a deep bowl, mix the cream cheese with the rest of the Nutella and the icing sugar.If we heat it, we will be able to mix the ingredients more easily. We can do this by placing the container on a saucepan with boiling water and stirring with rods or by using a kitchen robot with the possibility of applying heat, Thermomix type.

Fill the mold mold with this mixture, dropping it gently. We spread it over the entire surface, either by moving the mold slightly or hitting it on the counter. We put it in the fridge and let it take shape, as it cools, for a minimum of 5 hours (better if it is overnight).

Half an hour before unmolding it, we put it in the freezer. This will help us manipulate it, I put it is a delicate cheesecake. We chop the hazelnuts with a knife or crush them in a mortar, toast them in a frying pan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally so that they do not burn. We unmold the cheesecake and decorate it with the toasted hazelnuts.
