How to Make Turkey Curry in Five Minutes: Microwave Recipe

It is an indisputable fact that in my house the microwave oven is underused. Except for heating and defrosting food, we use little more. I always think that I have to be encouraged to take advantage of it, but the days pass and things do not change. However, this week I planted and made this turkey curry recipe in just five minutes!

In addition to being quick to prepare, it is delicious and has a very exotic flavor. Although, the truth is that the most surprising thing about this turkey curry is how tremendously juicy the meat is when it is given this treatment in its cooking. After the success it has had at home, I see myself preparing it day after day. And so happy.

Ingredients

  • Turkey sirloin 500 g
  • Onion 80 g

  • Cream cheese 50 g

Cut the turkey sirloin in emincés, that is, into strips of approximately 1 x 4 centimeters and season. We can cut the turkey into thicker strips, but then we will need to slightly increase the cooking time so that it does not remain raw. Peel the onion and cut it into a thin julienne.

In a microwave steamer, mix the plain yogurt together with the cream cheese, the evaporated milk, the ground curry and the chopped fresh coriander leaves. If you don't like coriander, you can do without it. If, on the contrary, you like coriander very much, then increase the quantity at your whim. Season and stir with a few rods until integrated.

Add the turkey and onion to the steamer mixture and stir well so that no pieces are left unmarinated. Cover and place in a microwave oven, where we cook it at 800w for five minutes. If we do not have a steamer, we can use a microwave-safe container and cover it with plastic wrap, pricking it before putting it in the oven.

After the cooking time has elapsed, we remove the steamer (or the container we use) from the oven and let it rest for five minutes, without removing the lid. While our turkey curry rests, we can set the table and have everything ready to serve freshly made, sprinkled with sesame seeds.

What to accompany turkey with curry

Turkey curry is a bite that pairs perfectly with a garnish of white rice and bread, type pita or naan, with which to slice your creamy sauce. If, to this, we add a very cool beer, then we have solved a meal in a very complete way.
