How to make chocolate nougat at home

By no means will we be able to compare ourselves with the great masters who make nougat in Jijona, but we can be proud of the nougat that we make in our own home and with which diners will be surprised.

In this case we are going to make a nougat with a great mixture, chocolate and candied orange, the pairing of both products is delicious and will seduce all palates.

You will need 150 grams of raw ground almonds, 200 grams of chocolate fondant, 200 grams of sugar, 150 grams of candied orange and 4 tablespoons of orange liqueur.

Start by preparing a clear syrup with ½ glass of water and the sugar, melt the previously chopped chocolate fondant in another large saucepan and add the syrup made, stirring continuously. When you see that the mixture is homogenized, add the almond, the finely chopped candied orange and the orange liqueur to the saucepan and continue cooking over very low heat until you obtain a homogeneous mass.

Pour the prepared dough into a rectangular mold, the size of a nougat tablet, previously smeared with a little butter and let it rest until you see that the chocolate has completely solidified.

You will have prepared a delicious nougat for the delight and enjoyment of the diners, their palates will appreciate it. Take advantage!
