Chocolate Christ, the controversy is served
Surely you can see that the photo does not refer to the traditional image of Christ that we all know, in our opinion it seems more like a reproduction of a corpse in an advanced state of decomposition, without any similarity to the Christian figure of Christ that is always shown, well Yes, it presents the arms in the cross.
This is the sculpture of the chocolate Christ that will be exhibited in the Manhattan Lab gallery in New York City (United States), its title is My Sweet Lord, we reiterate what has been said, it may be very sweet but it is not that is the image that it transmits, at least through the photographs. The sculpture in question has been made with 90 kilos of chocolate and has a height of 1.80 meters, its creator has been the sculptor Cosimo Cavallaro.
Much is the controversy generated by the sculpture, leaders and members of religious organizations have denounced the image that Christ offers and request that the sculpture and the place where it is housed be removed.
As little as we like it, we believe that the expression of art should be free, each one sees things as they want and possibly for the author and some fans, this is a delightfully beautiful sculpture, by the way, which is not our opinion. Surely if the work looked better, it would have greater acceptance. What do you think?
