Homemade croissants stuffed with spinach
If we want to prepare a rich breakfast, an ideal aperitif or a snack, nothing better than preparing homemade croissants stuffed with spinach. Very easy to prepare, we will combine pastries and vegetables to obtain a product that is rich on the palate and rich in nutrients for our body.
The ingredients 400 grams of frozen spinach, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 glass of milk, 1 sheet of puff pastry, an egg, oil and salt.
The preparation Pour 1/2 glass of milk into a large saucepan and bring to a boil, then add the spinach and cook for 10 minutes. Dissolve the cornstarch in the remaining milk and pour into the saucepan, stirring constantly until you see that the spinach thickens. Remove the spinach from the heat, salt slightly and let cool. Spread the sheet of puff pastry on a work surface and cut some 12-centimeter long triangles.
Place a handful of spinach in the center of the triangle and then roll the dough into the croissant, remember to fold the ends of the croissants inwards. Do the same operation until you finish with the pasta.
Place the preparation on the baking tray previously greased with a tablespoon of oil and brush each croissant with a little beaten egg. Bake in a previously preheated oven at 200º C for 15 minutes or until you see that they have already browned.
