Squares of chocolate and pistachios. Recipe
This recipe for chocolate and pistachio squares is super quick. With telling you that I started to make it when the mango curry with chicken had 5 minutes left and it finished when we finished eating. About 30 minutes in total.
- 100 g of chocolate, 80 g of butter, 2 eggs, 125 g of flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 120 g of icing sugar.
How to make chocolate squares and pisctachos
We put the oven to preheat to 180 ºC and while we prepare the dough and peel the pistachios.
Melt the chocolate with the butter in a double boiler. Outside of the fire we add the eggs and mix.
We add the sifted flour together with the yeast and finally the icing sugar. Mix well and put the dough in a square mold, smearing with butter.
We put the pistachios on top and bake. The time depends on the thickness. If it is about 2 cm thick it will take about 25 or 30 minutes if it is 1 cm it will take about 15 minutes.

The chocolate and pistachio squares can be served as dessert or simply as a petit four with coffee. I advise you to use salted pistachios since the contrast with the sweetness of the cake is great.
