Beware of street food products
News like the one that we are going to show below should help to understand why food that comes from street vendors should not be bought if they do not present the appropriate sanitary guarantees and the corresponding certification seals.
In Solares (Cantabria) they have intervened a warehouse that contained a large quantity of food products destined for the distribution of street vending that were in terrible condition, expired, in poor condition and some had even been enjoyed by rats. Up to a ton of food has been destroyed, including cheeses, cold cuts, fruits, yogurts, etc. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case and surely other stores throughout Spain continue with their denigrating work of selling products that are dangerous to health. We are in an ideal time to sell tourists products considered artisan and genuine, in reality being vehicles with a harmful load.
If we detect any irregularity such as the lack of health certification, expiration date or Spanish or European guarantee stamps, we avoid buying the product in question and report the fact, it is a good way to fight against those who indiscriminately threaten the health of the consumer.
