Couscous with the aroma of multicolored sage


Couscous can never be absent from our pantry, whenever any unforeseen event arises, it easily solves a meal for you, and the best thing is that its genuine flavor conquers all palates. It can be combined with whatever you want, but if you are in a hurry and want to give the dish some showiness, in addition to a lot of vitamins, try the Couscous with the aroma of multicolored sage.

The ingredients 2 glasses of couscous, 2 glasses of meat (or vegetable) broth, 1 sprig of sage, 1 red pepper, 1 yellow pepper, 1 green pepper, 1 carrot, 2 leeks, 4 cloves of garlic, ½ tablespoon of ginger, five pepper spice, olive oil, ½ teaspoon of smoked salt (optional) and regular salt (be careful with the salt if you use a broth that is already salty).

The preparation Put in a saucepan to heat the broth and the sage leaves. Meanwhile wash and clean the peppers and carrots and cut them into small cubes.

Peel and chop the leeks and garlic and fry them for a couple of minutes in a hot pan with a drizzle of oil. Add the peppers, season to taste and continue cooking, stirring from time to time until they are slightly tender, do not overdo them. Sprinkle the ground ginger and peppers and remove from heat.

When the broth starts to boil, remove it from the heat and let the couscous rain down. Allow the grain to absorb all the broth for a couple of minutes, then drizzle with a few drops of olive oil before serving, mixing well so that the couscous is loose.

Serve it on the plates surrounded with the sauce of peppers and if you wish with some sprinkled poppy seeds, you can also mix the peppers with the couscous before serving.
