Endives with goat cheese and bacon
This dish as a starter or accompaniment will leave you very well in front of your guests, the endives with goat cheese and bacon offer a very successful combination of flavors and are very easy to make.
The ingredients 4 endives, 8 slices of bacon, 4 thin slices of goat cheese, 300 ml. of ham stock, salt and black pepper.
The preparation Cut the base of the endives and remove the first leaves, wash and dry them carefully. Open them in half without reaching the stem and fill them with the goat cheese. Season the endives with salt and freshly ground black pepper and wrap each with two slices of bacon that you can hold with toothpicks. In a frying pan without oil, add the endives so that they are made with the same fat as the bacon, turn them over and when it is evenly browned, add the broth and cook over medium heat.
Go turning the endives from time to time so that they take on the flavor of the broth all around and inside. Once most of the broth has been consumed, after about 15-20 minutes, place the endives on the serving plates and drizzle with the sauce from the pan.
