Steaks with crisp and salad, recipe for a light (and complete) dinner

This dish is a complete food since it contains ingredients from all groups and can serve you both for a lunch at midday and for dinner, being very satisfying in both cases. The steaks with crispy and salad will also serve to take advantage of leftovers that you can have in the fridge.

With two fillets, -which could be pork, beef, or even chicken breasts- cooked on the grill, some pieces of filo pasta that I had left over when I prepared the recipe for the crispy pear envelopes, some green leaves and a puree Homemade carrot, we have prepared this great combo plate.

  • Edged pasta 2 sheets
  • Beef fillets of 75 g each, (units) 4
  • Butter 10 g
  • Lettuce mixed to taste
  • Carrot 4
  • Vegetables soup 200 ml
  • Potato 1

How to make crispy steaks and your salad

We start by preparing the carrot puree. We cut the peeled carrots and the potato and cook them in the broth for 25 minutes. We crush and then steal and rectify salt. It should be crushed very well to make it a very fine cream.

To make the crispy filo pastry, we paint the leaves with a brush dipped in melted butter in the microwave and place them two by two on plaster rings, to give them a certain volume. Bake at 200ºC until golden. Let it cold down.

Meanwhile, we cook the fillets on the grill, without using any oil. When we turn the fillets, add a few crystals of salt and pepper to our liking. It will take 2 minutes on each side with the pan very hot for them to be on point.

We assemble the plate by placing two tablespoons of carrot puree, a fillet on them and partially cover with pieces of the phyllo dough and various green leaves so that the plate reaches an appetizing volume. We place the second fillet and repeat the operation.

What to accompany the steaks with crisp and your salad

Recognize that between a normal grilled steak with salad garnish and these crispy steaks and their salad, things change a lot, don't you think? It is possible to make a light lunch or dinner without being boring if we put a little imagination. To accompany them and complete the menu, I recommend a light fruit-based dessert such as these oranges with chocolate and pistachios.
