Condensed milk flan, a traditional recipe that will take you to childhood
Homemade custard is one of those desserts that immediately takes you back to childhood when you try it. I am convinced that in all the houses, at least once, flan has been made. One of the classics is the condensed milk flan that accompanies the cans and free recipes that were at home.
I have added a little bit of candied orange, which although it goes to the bottom because the mixture is liquid, I really like the flavor it gives it, and if you put the spoon to the bottom, it is a pleasure. I recommend that you please make the candy at home, it is a very simple step and the flavor and texture have nothing to do with the commercial.

How to make condensed milk flanDifficulty: easy
- Total time 45 m
- Elaboration 15 m
- Cooking 30 m
- Repose 8 h
We heat the oven to 170ºC with heat up and down without air. We make a light caramel with the sugar and a few drops of water and lemon. We cover the bottom of the molds with the caramel and the candied orange and let cool. While in a separate bowl we beat the eggs with the milk and the condensed milk without making too much foam, just enough for them to mix.
Strain the mixture and fill the molds carefully. We cover them with silver foil and place them on a deep ovenproof tray. Fill with hot water until it covers a third of the height of the molds and bake until the flan are curdled.
The time depends a little on the size of the molds and the oven, but after 40 minutes, check the cooking. Remove from the oven and let the flans cool in the water of the water bath. We dry and refrigerate until the next day. We serve cold.
