There are two ways of living life today, or that is what it seems if we synthesize our environment in a simple sentence, I mean, for example, the Forum Santiago 2012 that will be held in Santiago de Compostela on the next 26, 27 and 28 of February. And it is that another way of holding gastronomic congresses is possible.

Today we move between those who want to capitalize everything in a private and exclusive way and those who think that culture and all its manifestations should have a more friendly and close face, but above all open. In this regard, today this post is about the announcement of the Santiago Forum 2012 but another day I will talk about my perception, quite personal, of what Madrid Fusión means, which as you know I have been these days in its last edition.

As you know, the Santiago Gastronomic Forum is held every two years, alternating each year with the Girona Forum, thus taking advantage of all the gastronomic potential of Catalonia and Galicia. But if there is something that makes him special, it is, without a doubt, his way of doing it.

As a congress it is clear that it has a series of activities similar to other congresses: cook lectures, workshops, tastings, talks, presentations, activities related to gastronomy.

But as his model told you, it is admirable in these times. Admission is free and they also rely heavily on the environment to carry out the congress. The pity is that it catches me very far and without the possibility of traveling, to see if in Madrid they imitate this congress at all.
