Fried strawberries: the most original recipe to take advantage of this spring fruit

Today we bring you some fried strawberries that seem delicious and that we usually prepare from time to time, because, although they are very easy to make, they take a little attention while we fry them.

To make them, you should look for strawberries or strawberries that are not very large, almost like a snack, and also that are ripe, as this will soften them with frying, creating a delicious contrast with the batter.

  • Pastry flour 100 g
  • Eggs 3
  • Milk 100 ml

How to make fried strawberries

We will begin by separating two of the three eggs into white and yolk. Reserving each one separately. In a bowl, pour the sifted flour, add two yolks and a whole egg and a pinch of salt. Add the milk at room temperature and beat with the mixer until we do not see any lumps of flour and a smooth paste is formed. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff with the sugar and add them gently, stirring with a silicone spatula to the previous mass.

We put a deep frying pan on the fire and add plenty of sunflower oil, heat it and bathe the strawberries, to which we will have pricked a long skewer, in the dough. Frying in the hot oil over medium heat until golden. We let them drain on a plate with kitchen paper and we coat them still hot in sugar.

Fried strawberries are a delicious snack for dessert. They should be consumed after they cool down a bit, you can also flavor the sugar to bathe them with a pinch of cinnamon powder if you like.
