Gin Citadelle Reserve 2008

The Geneva or Gin Citadelle Reserve 2008 is a liquid element that has been for 6 months aging in Pierre Ferrand cognac barrels.

In fact, it has been in a total of 21 barrels each of 270 liters with an age of use of between 15 and 20 years. This guarantees that the resulting 8023 bottles of gin have absorbed all the aromas of the Cognac 1er cru that they previously contained.

It is certainly a luxury. Because there is life beyond the gin of a lifetime. And thanks to the different aromas, herbs, spices, etc. that are used we can get luxury gins like this.

The tasting note indicates that the Citadelle Reserve 2008 Gin has complex aromas of dried fruit, light roast, dark chocolate, ripe fruit and some prune. We cannot say that of: "the gin tastes like cologne to me."

I advise you to take it in a perfectly made Gin-tonic, although with some variation, of citrus you can use tangerine peel. It sure looks great.

Ah, you can find it in almost all gourmet centers at a recommended price of 50 euros.
