Gastronomic guide of La Gomera

Desserts

The Cabildo de La Gomera has just published a guide on its gastronomy in order to promote the consumption of traditional foods on the island. Edited in three languages, Spanish, English and German, it complements the information offered through its website.

This guide accompanies the promotional campaign that began last year that is within the framework of the European cooperation project Veredas, which aims to promote indigenous products from the Azores, Madeira and the Canary Islands.

With the new guide that is focused on both the local public and the visitor, we will be able to know the almagrote, palm honey, mojo, jams, gofio, wine, etc. It also offers information on the basis of the elaboration of typical products and their properties.

We would love to get one of these guides that promotes the consumption and commercialization of local productions, but we would rather be there to taste them. At the moment we are satisfied with the experience that our partner Javi shares with us after his trip to the island of Tenerife and to begin with we will prepare the wrinkled potatoes.
