Le Beau Soleil, between plates and violins
Today I read a report on BBC world, about a restaurant in Brussels called Le Beau Soleil, a place where they cook and serve dishes, but at the same time they build and restore violins, violas, cellos and double basses.
Its owner named Ioannis Kollias has been in the restaurant business for a long time and is also a luthier, which is why for four years, with Le Beau Soleil he has had his two jobs in one place.
The paninis that the place offers are named after different luthiers. Kollias between plate and plate is designing, restoring and building instruments.
Apparently the local are regular professional soloists, composers, students from the conservatory and of course curious people who come, as they are struck by the window with instruments that can be seen through the window.
Of course I would be one of the curious ones.
