Mini ham and wild pizzas, snack recipe to eat with your fingers

It's not that I like football especially, but when international competitions arrive, I am excited to see a game, and above all, if Spain plays, things get more interesting. As it is usual for several of us to get together to watch the games, I usually make these mini ham and wild pizzas to liven up the football day.

Of course the filling is variable and the pizzas have endless combinations, but this is one of my favorites and my guests love it too. The way of presenting them like this, individually, means that we do not waste time in dividing it into pieces. Each one eats the mini pizzas that they want and, best of all, with their fingers.

Ingredients

For 6 units
  • Wheat flour 150 g
  • Wheat or corn semolina 25 g
  • Polenta 25 g
  • Fresh baker's yeast 2.5 g
  • Salt 2.5 g
  • Extra virgin olive oil 15 ml
  • Water 80 ml
  • Homemade tomato sauce, 6 tablespoons
  • Dried oregano
  • Sliced ​​serrano ham 6
  • Sliced ​​smoked bacon 3
  • Sliced ​​turkey 3
  • Sliced ​​Mozzarella Cheese 3
  • Sliced ​​Cheddar Cheese 2
  • Fine wild asparagus 6
  • Basil

How to make mini ham and wild pizzas

To make the dough we simply mix all the ingredients in a bowl and knead a little until it does not stick to our hands, although we will notice the dough juicy. We may need a little more water, we will adjust the amount as needed as it can vary based on the absorption of the flour.

We cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest until it doubles its initial volume. After time, we flour the work table a little, place the dough and press it slightly with the fingertips, stretching it a little. We let it sit for five minutes.

We preheat the oven to 200º with heat only below. We stretch the dough with the roller until it is the desired thickness. With the help of a plating ring or pasta cutter, we make the dough portions to make the six mini pizzas. Prick the base of each mini pizza with a fork, top with a tablespoon of tomato, a little oregano, and the ham, turkey cold cuts and minced bacon.

We chop the cheeses and distribute them on top, like the asparagus. Finally we garnish with some basil leaves. We bake at 200º C on the lowest level of the oven, for about ten minutes, depending on the size of the mini pizzas. We remove from the oven and serve immediately.

With what to accompany the mini ham and wild pizzas

These mini ham and wild pizzas should be eaten fresh from the oven to be able to enjoy the crunchy dough. If we accompany them with a beer or a very cool soft drink, we already have the best aperitif or dinner to watch the games.
