I have to admit that one of the ingredients we like to cook the most is chicken drumsticks. The smaller, the more we like them. They're perfect for roasting with spices and other ingredients that bring tons of fun and different flavors. That is why we have not been able to resist sharing with you a new version of these chicken pieces.

Today's recipe consists of chicken drumsticks with yogurt and paprika. It is perfect for food and is quite healthy as it does not contain much fat. You can use it if you want to take care of what you eat and if you add some vegetables, as we will do here, it will be an even better dish.

Ingredients

For 2 persons
  • Chicken thighs 4
  • Onion 125 g
  • Carrot 250 g
  • Natural yogurt 150 g
  • Paprika powder 10 g
  • Dried thyme 5 g
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

How to make chicken drumsticks with yogurt and paprika

Place the chicken thighs, skinless, in an oven-safe dish, sprinkle with the thyme, salt and pepper. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 200ºC for about 15 minutes.

Chop half of the onion finely and cut the other half into julienne strips. We clean the carrots and cut them lengthwise into sticks. Mix the yogurt with the paprika and the chopped onion in a deep bowl. We stir well until integrating.

After 15 minutes of cooking the chicken, add the carrots and julienned onion to the source. Cover and bake another 15 minutes. After this time we remove the chicken from the oven and add the yogurt and paprika preparation. Bake again uncovered for 15 more minutes or until the surface of the chicken is slightly golden.

The chicken drumsticks with yogurt and paprika are perfect for lunch or dinner. You can serve them with a little wheat semolina or brown rice that will combine very well with the roasted carrots that were cooked with the chicken. I recommend you taste this dish with a glass of red wine or a dark beer.
