Onfan, the new gastronomic social guide
If only a year ago they had told me that they would interest me and I would write about social networks, even if they were gastronomic content, I would not have believed it, but you have to be up to date with new technologies and I have to admit that they are totally addictive. For this reason, I find it interesting to introduce Onfan, the new gastronomic social guide.
This gastronomic platform was presented yesterday in Barcelona to the media by Andoni Luis Aduriz, owner and chef of the Mugaritz restaurant. The approach is as follows: registered users evaluate and share information about any gastronomic establishment, be it a restaurant, a butcher or a greengrocer.
In order to participate, you must first identify yourself, then a photo of the dish or establishment in question is posted, and our experience is shared with the rest of the users. A very easy way to get reliable and trusted opinions from other people who have already experimented with a certain product. Those responsible for Onfan have defined this platform as "a combination of Tripadvisor and Instagram".
The idea seems very good to me, but I wonder what will happen if the owners of these establishments, as well as the right of admission, prohibit taking photos as is happening in some restaurants in New York. I guess time will tell us. Onfan, the new gastronomic social guide has just been born, we will be attentive to how it develops.
