If you have never tried to prepare a crumble you do not know what you are missing. A crunchy and sweet crust on a base of honeyed fruit, isn't that tempting? That is why you cannot stop trying this recipe for crunchy apple and raisin cake, we assure you that each bite is pure pleasure.

This sweet is very easy to prepare, you just have to be careful when unmolding it so that it does not break, so either let it cool completely before removing it from the mold or, if you want it warm, you can cut it directly into the mold and serve each diner his portion.

  • Sweet wine (for the filling) 1/2 glass

How to Make Crispy Apple Raisin Pie

We start by peeling the apples, splitting them in half, core them and cut them into small cubes. We arrange them in a saucepan with the sugar, the cinnamon stick and the sweet wine.

Cover the saucepan and let it cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for about five minutes. Add the raisins and cook for 3 more minutes. We remove it from the heat and remove the cinnamon stick.

We prepare the dough by mixing the flour, sugar and butter. We work with our hands until we obtain a mixture that looks similar to breadcrumbs. We separate half of the dough, wrap it in plastic wrap and reserve it in the fridge.

Add the yeast and the egg to the other half. Mix until a homogeneous mass. We heat the oven to 180ºC. We line a plum-cake mold with parchment paper and pour the previous dough into it.

We spread the apple filling on it, so that it is well distributed. Finally, we remove the reserved dough, undo it a little with our hands and place it on the apple sauce. Bake about 40 minutes or until the surface is golden.
