Cheesecake and strawberries: recipe to accompany the after-dinner

Since we are in the middle of strawberry season I decided to make a strawberry cheese cake. I took up the idea of ​​a cheesecake but mounted on a classic cake pan. The preparation process is quite simple so you will not need great pastry skills to make this cake that is interesting for me this spring.

Cheesecake is one of the gastronomic specialties that comes from the United States, although its origins are much older. Because of its peculiar flavor and texture, I love to eat the cheesecake and strawberries in the afternoon with a coffee without sugar to balance flavors.

Ingredients

For 6 people
  • Wheat flour 200 g
  • Sugar 250 g
  • Chemical yeast 10 g
  • Butter 100 g
  • Liquid cream for cooking 400 ml
  • Strawberry 250 g
  • Cream cheese 200 g
  • Egg 3

How to make strawberry cheesecake

We will start with the preparation of the bread mixing in a container the flour, 100 g of sugar and the chemical yeast. Add the butter and stir well until obtaining a grainy consistency. Finally we add 200 ml of liquid cream. We mix again very well. We grease a cake pan with butter. We pour the dough we just made and bake for about 20 minutes at 200ºC. At the end of cooking, remove from the oven and let cool.

Meanwhile we will prepare the cheesecake coating. For this we are going to mix in another deep bowl the cream cheese with 150 g of sugar. When both ingredients have been very well integrated, add the eggs one by one and finish with 200 ml of liquid cream. We cut the strawberries (previously washed) and place them on the bread of the cake. On top of these we pour the cheesecake mixture. We place in a hot oven at 180ºC for about 25 minutes. We remove from the oven, let warm and refrigerate one hour before serving.

With what to accompany the cheese cake and strawberries

I recommend you enjoy the cheese cake and strawberries very cold as a dessert or at snack time with a hot drink or better yet, with a very cold sparkling wine. If you are going to put it in the fridge to eat it the next day, don't forget to keep it in a covered container so that it keeps all its taste qualities.
