Lemon honey glazed chicken breasts. Quick and easy recipe

Whenever I go shopping and go through the poultry section, I like to buy chicken fillets without fillets to cook them to my liking, depending on what I want to do. This time I have made honey and lemon glazed chicken breasts that are perfect for a healthy meal.

It is a very easy recipe that is also done almost in a moment but do not be fooled by the simplicity of this dish because it is really delicious and its taste, both acidic and sweet, will surprise you from the first bite.

The icing technique is very grateful, both in its visual and flavor aspects, since the sauce ingredients gradually penetrate the cooked food, achieving a very interesting flavor. The other day we used this technique to prepare the recipe for Norwegian salmon glazed with teriyaki, and today we are going to do it with the chicken, to get a simple, healthy and light meal.

We start by marking the chicken breasts on a grill to cook the outside and slightly mark the stripes on the surface. It will be enough to leave about two minutes on each side to achieve that appetizing appearance. Later, we reserve and, while the chicken rests, we prepare the sauce of the glaze in a saucepan.

We put the juice of two lemons and a lime, -which brings very pleasant nuances- to cook and add two tablespoons of good honey. When it blends well and forms a lot of bubbles, we begin to glaze the chicken breasts, a quick and easy way to do it.

In a frying pan we put the honey and lemon sauce and the breasts and with a little patience, we begin to cover or cover the breasts with the sauce, using a spoon. You have to be constant and do it continuously, since we will do this until we run out of sauce. This will gradually thicken, while adding a layer of color and shine to chicken breasts. Be patient since ten minutes is enough to get a golden color and finish cooking the chicken inside.

What to accompany honey-lemon glazed chicken breasts

To serve these chicken breasts glazed with honey and lemon we can prepare a garnish of white rice or if you are looking more at the calories, do as I do and serve them with some cooked green beans and sautéed in a pan. Decorate with the zest of the lemons and the lime and you have a healthy, complete and really delicious dish ready.
