Chicken skewers with paprika: easy pecking recipe to get rid of in no time


Paprika lovers should give it much more use in daily cooking, and prevent it from going rancid, because like all spices, it is delicate and loses a lot of aroma over time. Take as an example this very simple recipe for chicken skewers with paprika, perfect for a snack.

In my case I use paprika from my land, from Murcia, but you can use any other variety of good quality, with that of La Vera, or even the paprika Hungarian. The spicy touch can be enhanced or eliminated completely, it depends on the taste and tolerance of each one.


For 4 people
  • Chicken breast 2
  • Extra virgin olive oil 45 ml
  • Lemon juice 5 ml
  • 2 teaspoons sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Ground black pepper
  • Salt

Prepare the marinade in advance. Place the extra virgin olive oil, the lemon juice, the sweet paprika, the hot pepper, the ground cumin, the granulated garlic and the thyme in a bowl. Mix well. Clean the chicken breasts and pat them dry with kitchen paper.

Chop the chicken meat into pieces in one bite and season them. Place them in a suitable container, pour in the dressing and mix everything very well. Let marinate for at least one hour. If it is not too hot it can be left at room temperature, but if we are going to marinate for a longer time it is better to cover it with plastic wrap and store it in the fridge.

Heat a frying pan with a little oil. Cook chicken over high heat until well browned on all sides. Arrange the chicken, on skewers of one or two pieces, in a dish or tray lightly greased with oil and season with a little extra paprika.
