Roasted bananas with rum and almonds: dessert recipe with tropical air

Surely more than one of you have ever had to resort to a quick dessert before unforeseen guests. Well, this is exactly what has happened to me, I had to cook something express, so neither cut nor lazy in fifteen minutes I had a dessert prepared, fast and without staining pots, some delicious baked bananas with rum and almonds.

You can also make this recipe to use the residual heat after making a meat or roast in the oven, while you finish the dish you have practically the dessert prepared. This time the roasted bananas, unlike the usual, are baked with their skin, this will turn dark, but do not worry, your fruit will be tender and full of flavor.

We will start by preheating the oven to 210 degrees with heat up and down. We place the bananas on a baking sheet and bake them for fifteen or twenty minutes depending on how ripe they are.

While in a frying pan add the butter and half a teaspoon of sugar and lightly toast the almond granillo. In case you already buy it toasted this step you can do without it. We heat the rum for a few seconds in the microwave.

Once the bananas come out of the oven we open them removing the upper half of the peel, we put them in a platter and add the rum on top, flambé and sprinkle with the almond granillo. We serve quickly accompanied by an English cream.

Roasted bananas with rum and almonds are delicious accompanied as I mentioned before with a small portion of English cream, but if you do not want to complicate yourself so much, a simple scoop of vanilla ice cream will do the accompaniment perfectly.
