Chicken in balsamic and vegetable reduction: recipe

Today I propose a recipe that includes everything in one, since it is a dish in which you will find a basic protein as well as the essential vegetables for a good diet. As we have already discussed, chicken breast may be unappealing to some people due to its lack of flavor.

That is why the recipe for chicken in balsamic and vegetable reduction that I propose on this occasion, is full of intense flavor that gives a totally different perspective to white meat. Without further introduction, I invite you to put on your apron and go to the kitchen.

For 2 persons

  • Bobby round green beans 400 g
  • Cherry tomato 12
  • Dijon mustard 40 g
  • Modena Vinegar (4 tablespoons) 60 g
  • Dried thyme (1 teaspoon) 3 g

How to make chicken in balsamic and vegetable reduction

Difficulty: easy
  • Total time 50 m
  • Elaboration 10 m
  • Cooking 40 m

To start we will heat the butter and olive oil in a frying pan and then seal the chicken breasts for about 4 minutes on each side, over medium high heat. Meanwhile we mix in a bowl the balsamic with the mustard, the thyme, salt and pepper to taste. We boil the green beans in a pot with water and salt, for about 20 minutes or until they are soft. We drain the water and reserve.

Immediately pour the balsamic preparation over the breasts, lower the fire, cover the pan and leave for about 10 minutes. Finally we add the vegetables, adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary. We leave, always at low heat and with the pan covered, for an additional 20 minutes.

With what to accompany the chicken in balsamic reduction and vegetables

I recommend serving this chicken in a balsamic and vegetable reduction with brown or white rice. Since the dish includes vegetables, it is not necessary to add more, so the carbohydrate that you like will be the best choice. Additionally, I suggest you offer or taste this preparation with a full-bodied red wine.
