S´Espartar restaurant, Ibizan dishes with family tradition

If there is an establishment in Ibiza where you can taste good fish dishes, especially the traditional bullit de peix or Ibizan fish stew, it is the S´Espartar Restaurant, which serves Ibizan dishes with family tradition.

This restaurant, which takes its name from a well-known Pitiuso islet, is located near Cala Tarida, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, with clear waters and rocky bottoms, despite the huge hotel exploitation that it has suffered in recent years.

The location of this restaurant is, therefore, in a totally privileged environment, surrounded by pine trees and nature that can be admired from the huge terrace facing the islet of s’Espartar. Special mention should be made of the staff who wait for the tables, with extreme kindness, they make you feel like family.

To start the meal and to avoid waiting for the main course, we decided to order a few starters to share. Those chosen were: Galician octopus, mixed salad, Ibizan fried squid and grilled Ibizan red prawns.

I will make special mention of the grilled red prawns, which are one of the island's delicatessen, and which were delicious, only seasoned with a little coarse salt and the fried squid, with potatoes and peppers, which is one of the dishes. typical of the island with more roots.

The wine we chose to wash the meal was Louro by Rafael Palacios, I loved it. As a main course we chose blind paella, mostly so as not to listen to the protests of the children, although I like the traditional one more. It was exquisite.

In short, S´Espartar Restaurant is a recommended establishment to visit with the family, especially if you are looking to taste good fish. In addition, you can take advantage of the food to visit one of the many beaches and coves that surround it.
