Egg salad sandwich, the recipe from an American restaurant that sweeps Instagram


Today I want to show you how to prepare the Egg Salad Sandwich, a recipe from a small restaurant in Los Angeles in the United States called Konbi that, due to social networks and especially Instagram with the hashtag #eggsaladsandwich, has become a trend that we have not resisted trying. Once made and eaten at home, I assure you that it is a delicious sandwich.

To make the Konbi Egg Salad Sandwich, we will need to cook chicken eggs at different points. For this we put boiling water and cook six eggs. While they cook, we prepare a bowl with ice water and when they have been six minutes, we take out three eggs, cooling them immediately. Meanwhile, the other three eggs continue to cook, passing into the ice water when they have taken a total of ten minutes.

In a bowl, put the finely chopped chives and the eggs that have been cooked for ten minutes, also finely chopped. We dress them with mustard, mayonnaise and creme fraiche. Mix well and we will have the sandwich filling almost ready. To complete it, we open in half the eggs that cooked for six minutes and that will be with the juicy yolk, but not liquid.

To assemble the sandwiches we have the six slices of sliced ​​bread and spread three with a little mayonnaise and another three with a little mustard. On the three of mayonnaise, we are placing the half little cooked eggs with the yolk down, placing two halves in each slice, so that they meet in the center.

Afterwards, we complete with the mixture of egg, chives and sauces, align with a spatula so that it is flat and cover with the slices smeared with mustard. Once the sandwiches are ready, we cut them into three portions, which we align and present as seen in the images.
