About drinks in Vietnam

Desserts

As I have already mentioned, the local beer that is most successful around here is Bia Ha Noi, a beer that is served in a half-liter bottle, it is smooth, very little bitter and I would even say that it is a little spicy, it is very good and You drink it like nothing, especially taking into account that with the heat and humidity that makes you half dehydrated all day. It is also very cheap, its price is around 0.50 and 0.75 euro cents.

But the one that is most successful among the locals, at least in Hanoi, is Bia Hoi, the traditional draft beer, it is beer harvested in Vietnam and has no preservatives so it must be consumed immediately. It is even lighter than bottled beer and is served in recycled glass glasses (I would say Coca Cola bottles because of the color they have), it is very fresh although it lacks the body of beer. Of course, it is very cheap if you can not get ripped off, its price is around 0.10-0.20 euro cents, and there are specialized bars that only serve bia hoi, but you have to be careful because in Hanoi they can rip you off. and they can charge you three times its price, which although it is still ridiculous, it is not pleasant to feel cheated.

On the other hand there are the fruit smoothies, as there is so much fruit and so much variety, the smoothies and fruit juices are very common: mango, orange is served with a ball of orange ice cream that gives the juice more consistency and refreshes it. (By the way, the oranges here are green on the outside), the papaya one seemed spectacular to me, the one with watermelon, limes and those that combine several fruits have so much pulp that you almost have to take them with tablespoons. Delicious fruit here.

And another refreshing drink that can be had in many street stalls is sugar cane juice. In any small place you will find a machine that squeezes a sugar cane to the maximum, from there they get the juice, which is more abundant than expected and they serve it to you in a glass, or if you want they have the format "to go": fill A small plastic bag (like those for gummies) of ice, add the juice, put a straw on it and close the bag with a rubber band and drink from the straw !!! incredible, yes, the juice is very fresh and slightly sweet but not cloying.

Today I can not upload photos because this cyber does not have a USB ... but as soon as I can I will show you how to make cane juice.
