Chicken supreme with cider
If you have had a bottle of cider left over from the Christmas holidays that have passed and you don't know what to do with it, you can prepare some supreme chicken with cider, it is a very simple dish that will not take you long. If there are little ones at home and the bones are a bit bad, you can also prepare them by boning them and cutting them into thin and elongated strips. This is a dish that is best tasted the hotter it is, so it is better that you serve them just when they are going to eat.
Ingredients: 4 chicken breasts, 2 leeks, 2 carrots, ½ celery stick, 2 apples, 1 glass of liquid cream, 1 glass of cider, salt and pepper.
preparation: First we prepare a broth with the carrots, leeks and celery, cooking the vegetables for about 40 minutes in water, season the broth to taste and cook the breasts in it. Once they are, we remove them from the broth and let them cool, then we remove the skin and place them in a baking dish and reserve.
We peel the apples and cook them in boiling water for a couple of minutes, drain them and cut them in half, removing the core. We chop and blend them with the electric mixer together with the liquid cream and the glass of cider. We season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste and pour it over the breasts, and we only have to put them in the oven, preheated to 220 ºC and let them cook for about 10 minutes.
