Children's Workshop on Mediterranean Diet Cooking
Tomorrow begins the Children's Workshop on Mediterranean Diet Cooking promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) and the Mediterranean Diet Foundation in the city of Zaragoza. Teaching children what are the recommended eating habits to feel healthy and develop properly, is one of the fundamental tasks that should be promoted by associations, institutions or the media among others, but one of the key pieces for education food works are the parents.
Initiatives such as the aforementioned workshop is ideal for children to learn and understand how important it is to take care of food, in this workshop that will be held at the stand that MAPA will have located at the International Fair for Animal Production (FIMA) held in parallel , about 50 children will be taught about the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, some recipes, preparation methods, etc. In addition, so that the experience is not forgotten, the children who participate in the workshop will be given a very special book with which to learn to cook and eat healthy, it is about Learn to Cook as a Family: 50 recipes of the Mediterranean Diet, winner of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2006 in the category Best Cookbook for Children and Family in Spanish.
Although it seems that the MAP is starting to put the batteries to provide future generations with the keys with which to enjoy life healthily, its actions are far from those that can be carried out in other countries such as England or France, which give much more value and importance to the teaching of good habits to children and also put many more means.
