Spinach and bacon tart: quick and easy recipe
As we cannot always spend long hours in the kitchen, it is essential to have some easy and quick recipes to prepare on our gastronomic hard drive. Such is the case with the recipe for spinach and bacon tart that I propose today.
If spinach is an excellent source of iron, once cooked it can taste a bit unpleasant. That is why, in order to make it more attractive, it is necessary to look for different ways to prepare them. This combination of spinach tart with bacon is not new but it is part of those classics that should never be missing in our cookbooks.

- Frozen spinach 500 g
- Onion 150 g
- Red pepper 80 g
- Bacon or bacon 200 g
- Sour cream 100 g
- Butter 50 g
- Ground black pepper

We spread the dough on an oven-safe mold previously greased with butter, cooking spray or covered with non-stick paper. We cut the red pepper into pieces. If we buy the complete bacon, we also chop it into pieces approximately one centimeter long.
We heat the butter in a pot and add the frozen spinach. Finely chop the onion and add it to the pot. Season to taste with salt and pepper. We stir everything very well and leave it on the fire (medium intensity) for about ten minutes. We remove and let warm for five minutes.
We pour the spinach mixture over the dough already in the mold. We add the bell pepper and bacon. adjust the seasoning with a little more salt and pepper. We put in a hot oven at 180ºC for about 25 minutes. We remove and serve hot.
With what to accompany the spinach and bacon cake
In addition to being simple to prepare, this spinach and bacon cake is very good because of the combination of the two main ingredients. You can accompany it with a salad of green leaves and a glass of very cold rosé wine. If you prepare it in advance, you can serve it cold on a picnic.
