Pear tart with almond cream and maple syrup: recipe
The fruit and the almond are two ingredients that go great in any cake or cake. I really like to combine the taste of pear with nuts, so today I decided to prepare this quick and easy pear cake with almond cream and maple syrup, with which to treat yourself to a dessert in very little time.
If you do not have time, you can always resort to speed up the recipe, to use some quality canned pears, so you will avoid the first step where we must blanch the fruit to continue with the recipe.

We will start by preheating the oven to 180 degrees. If we use fresh pears, we peel them whole and put them with the water and sugar to boil for ten minutes. We reserve on a plate while they cool. If instead we use pears in syrup, we simply cut them in half and reserve them.
To make the almond cream we mix the butter at room temperature with the sugar and vanilla and beat everything for a few minutes with the mixer until it becomes pale and creamy. Add the egg yolk, the ground almond and the flour and mix well until combined and obtain a dough without lumps.
Cut the puff pastry sheet in two and gently wet one of them with a brush and water. Place the other on top, and with the tip of a knife mark an edge about one or two centimeters all around, poking the central part of the dough with a fork to prevent it from rising when cooking.
Brush the puff pastry with half the maple syrup, pour the almond cream into a piping bag or a frozen bag and make a few cream cylinders on top of the puff pastry. We arrange the half of the pears in an orderly manner and paint them with the rest of the maple syrup. Bake for 25 minutes or until we see the puff pastry risen and baked.
