TeaPee, tepee shaped tea infusions
The world of tea undoubtedly offers a whole universe of possibilities in terms of design. Either to prepare it in bulk or distributed in bags, we do not stop seeing new proposals that intend to bring to our cups something more than an infusion. I admit I feel a weakness for him packaging original and artistic, which is why I liked the idea of TeaPee, tepee-shaped tea so much.
Sophie Pépin, a Canadian design student, has created a line of four tea-infusion blends in a beautifully original packaging. Your name is a pun made from the word torch, tea in English, which is pronounced the same as tipi. Teepees are the popular cone-shaped tents that have been the traditional dwellings of the indigenous peoples of North America.
And it is that its author has not only sought inspiration in the appearance of the teepees to devise his product, but also intends to pay tribute to said indigenous people, whose population has been cruelly persecuted and decimated, and praise their knowledge about medicinal plants, a ancestral culture that runs the risk of disappearing.
TeaPee's design features small cardboard teepee-shaped sculptures, each decorated with certain indigenous-inspired geometric color patterns. This decorative line is extracted to open the teepee, which contains the infusion bag itself, also conical, which is inserted into the cup to prepare the tea. A beautiful way to enjoy a comforting drink.
