Chicken curry braid, a recipe to surprise your guests

Today I have prepared an ideal recipe to surprise your guests. It is a curry chicken braid that you can serve both cold and hot and that has the advantage that it can be done in advance, giving it, if you want, a heater in the oven at the time of serving.

You know how much I like chicken curry. I think I've already prepared it in a thousand and one ways. In addition to the classic recipes, I have also put it in crispy phyllo baskets, I tried making croquettes with this recipe, I prepared an original risotto and some onion noodles. I even made a green chicken curry lasagna and even some meatballs using this ingredient as a base.

We start by preparing a chicken curry recipe that we like. I like to use my own spices and I always have my homemade curry powder mix. In a frying pan, fry the onion while the chicken breasts are lightly cooked in a saucepan.

After cooking the breasts and fraying their meat, we prepare a smooth curry adding the spices, the prunes, the onion over low heat and the coconut milk to the chicken. Once it begins to cook and thicken, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool.

We spread out a sheet of puff pastry and mentally divide it into three parts. With a fork, we chop the central area and on the two lateral parts, we make some diagonal cuts as shown in the images. You will see that it is simple and that it is done in a short time.

We distribute our curry chicken in the central area, ensuring that it is a height of one and a half centimeters or two. Then we alternately fold the strips on the sides so that our braid closes. Varnish with beaten egg and bake at 190º until the puff pastry has a golden color. It will take 30 minutes, -20 of them with heat up and down and another 10 only from below- to be on point.

For the first times that you prepare it, I recommend that you do not give it much spicy touch, until you know the tastes of your guests since sometimes the tolerance to spicy is not high.
