A dessert serving ring? Yes!
It had been a long time since I showed you any kitchen utensils or table props, so I wanted to, because as you know, it is one of my weaknesses. Can you imagine a ring to serve desserts? Well yes, there is!
The chef Elena Fabeiro told her friend the industrial designer Martín Azúa some time ago that she wanted "a plate ring", "a plate, cup, ring that serves to present and eat small desserts and that later can be used as a ring memory of a special meal. "
The person in charge of carrying out the idea of both friends was Jose Antonio Buide, a craftsman, who happened to be from Lugo like me. The pieces made of walnut wood are sold in pairs, glass and plate, like the ones you see in the image.
I don't know if the idea ends up looking like one cuquez or somewhat excessive, but of course I do not stop admiring the good finish and the fineness of these rings to serve handmade desserts. Do they inspire you?
