Yogurt cups and two chocolates: simple dessert recipe for chocolatiers

There are occasions when they ask to have some special sweet for dessert, but they don't always feel like turning on the oven. It is then when you have to pay attention to cold desserts, which also feel great if you press the heat on top. Glasses of yogurt and two chocolates are a treat for chocolate lovers, although they are lighter than other similar desserts.

I am not very fond of white chocolate, but I do like to use it in some recipes, especially because of the beautiful color contrast it offers us. This recipe is very simple, so the key to its success is to use a good creamy Greek yogurt, and premium chocolates. The quantities are a little indicative, after testing you can adjust the ingredients and the glasses to your liking, making them more or less sweet.

  • Plain greek yogurt 150 g
  • White chocolate 50 g
  • Dark chocolate 50 g
  • Plain Greek yogurt (for the second layer) 150 g
  • Vanilla sugar 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Digestive or Maria type cookies or wholemeal 60 g
  • Hazelnut or almond crocanti to decorate
  • White chocolate in flakes or coconut to decorate

It's best to work with Greek yogurt at room temperature, so we'll start by dividing the amounts into two bowls and letting them warm out of the fridge for half an hour. Place the cookies in a plastic bag and crush with the help of a hard object, or crush them in a mincer.

Melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie, add the first measure of yogurt and stir well. Cover the bottom of the glasses with a few tablespoons of the crushed cookies, pressing tightly. Spread the yogurt and white chocolate mixture on top. Let it cool until it takes consistency, about an hour in the fridge.

Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie and add the rest of the yogurt. Mix with the vanilla sugar until you get a homogeneous cream. Spread over the layer of white chocolate and let cool again in the fridge. At the time of serving, decorate with some white chocolate shavings and hazelnut crocanti, to taste.

With which to accompany the glasses

We will serve the yogurt cups and two cold chocolates, so that they are very creamy on the palate. They can be decorated with other additives to taste, for example with colored sprinkles, grated coconut, a compote or red fruit jam, etc. If they are prepared well in advance, it is better to keep the glasses in the fridge well covered, so that they do not catch any strange odor.
